Mmmmkay, so I went on one of the buses to Wal-Mart today, right? Totally normal, right? So I'm just there, buying stuff like soap and crackers and pads, when who should I run into in the tampon aisle but the incredibly attractive assistant football coach who drove the bus today. Yep, him. And we made eye contact. OH THE INDIGNITY OF IT ALL! I mean really, of all the people I could run into, it had to be him. '-_- Then once I'd managed to get everything I needed and I got up to the checkout, my card wouldn't go through because my mother fails at life and hadn't put the money on it that she was supposed to. Great, just great. Nothing like humiliating myself in the middle of a Wal-Mart supercenter, no-sir-ee. All in all, this day has not exactly been a good one. Oh, and I called my grandmother! Because I absolutely LOVE doing that! /sarcasm. I swear she is the single most insufferable woman I have ever met, grumble grumble grumble. Of course, then I feel bad for hating to communicate with her, because she's my grandmother and I'm supposed to like talking to her, when all I really want to do is never communicate with her ever again, so I feel guilty and selfish on top of annoyed. Good times.

My roommate's mum just dropped her off for the week, and it's so strange; V can't stand her, but I absolutely love her. She's the kind of person that I really wish I had for a mother. But isn't that how it works? We can't stand our own parents, but everyone else's parents are just great. Her mum said that I could talk to her at any time, that she would pick up anything I needed, and she even added me on Facebook, which I actually think is really sweet. I would love to try to cultivate some sort of friendship with her, but I'm scared that V will think that I'm betraying her or something by actually making friends with the woman she can't stand. Gaaaah, conflicted here! It's so weird; I hate my mum's boyfriend, and I would be so damn happy to see him leave, but when I look at V's mum, I just feel bad that her man cheated on her and turned out to be such a tool. It's weird, because I totally understand how V feels right now, but I just don't feel that way. I probably should. :/ It's weird how it's so difficult to forgive those closest to us. I wish it wasn't that way.

I'm currently loading Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, because I'm in a very unproductive mood. It's being incredibly stupid; it'll load up through the first minute just fine, and then it totally spazzes and takes like a minute to load ten seconds. WORK, DAMMIT, I NEED DISTRACTIONS FROM THE HORROR THAT IS REAL LIFE. FM-fracking-L. Of course, I could go do something productive like put my sheets in the wash or take out the trash, but oh, that would be too good of me, wouldn't it? And yes, I do still have my Bio lab report and APUSH homework from the past three weeks, all of which is due on Tuesday. Because I'm just productive and talented like that, right? Right.

For youth group tonight we all went over to Andie's and made s'mores and went in the hot tub. It was good to see everyone, especially since I haven't been to church in two weeks. It was weird; Sarah, wasn't there, and I felt like I should have missed her more, but really, it was wonderful to just have some time without her. Is that a terrible thing to say? Probably, since we're supposed to be best friends. IDK, sometimes it seems like people always lump us together whenever they see us, like we're a single unit. Besides, Arena was there, and it was the first time I'd gotten to see her in a year because she'd been in Germany. We just went off together for a few minutes and just talked about Arizona and the future. She was actually the first one of the girls that I told about going to Arizona, but I told everyone else by the end of the night. I was a little scared to, but it went off quite well.

Turns out that I've got four books that I'm supposed to finish for summer reading, so I picked those up today along with 14 pairs of underwear, 12 pairs of socks, and a bunch of new pajama pieces. I love Target.

Am debating the merits of going to sleep right now vs. staying up to watch some adorable little straight-to-DVD movie I found online. Should probably go to bed so that I'm rested for a day of Maury Povich, laundry, packing bedding, and reading books about the Southwest desert.

After sleeping for 14 hours straight (that's what happens when you stay up all night), I woke up at 2 PM, and proceeded to spend the rest of the afternoon being ridiculously lazy. So sue me. When mum got home from work, we went out to eat, and then hit up the store. We were intending to just get food, but we ended up staying there until about 9 PM, and I finally convinced mum to let me get some new collared shirts, since they're required for the dress code for next year. We're going shopping again tomorrow (well, later on today, now) like we were always planning to, and good thing, because forgive my bluntness but I need new underwear and socks like you would not imagine. I tried to pick some up at the other store, but holy crap, maybe I'm just naive but they seemed really, really expensive. I honestly don't understand how people can shop at places like Victoria's Secret, where one damn pair of panties leaves you out ten bucks. I mean seriously! I also don't understand how I can actually blog about something like this. Seriously, Tsquee? You're going to complain about the price of underwear to the world? That's not shallow, that's just straight up weird. I blame the fact that it's about 2 AM and I'm finally starting to feel like I could maybe go to sleep at some point.

I just spent the last couple hours watching Alice in Wonderland, the new one with Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway, and I loved it. The whole thing was just gorgeous, and Heavenly Father help me but I do believe I've begun to ship the Mad Hatter and Alice. Really, you could totally tell they were pushing it, and there were actually some really, honest-to-gosh sweet scenes that did a terrific job of setting them up. I'd love an icon of them, but the only things I can find related to Hatter/Alice is some little SyFy miniseries. Don't tell me I'm actually going to have to watch that...

Off to watch a few MadTV sketches and stare at the cute boy from the K-Mart Sunday circular (he's been in it two weeks in a row now!) before I try to fall asleep.

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe."
